The previous design for bertolami.com (2004) strived to provide direct access to content with as little art overhead as possible. At that point, virtually all of my projects were software based.
Over time as my interests grew and expanded, I started projects outside the field of computer science. As a result, I began to feel the limitations of my 2004 design, and a redesign was necessary.
I feel this new design embraces a very crisp and symmetric art direction that provides organizational as well as aesthetic benefits.
This website is written primarily using html/css and features a custom robust php driven architecture that provides: a forum and comment system, a file manager, an image viewer, a news and blog system, a projects manager, and a control panel.
